KFC Outlets in Klang Valley Now Have Self-Service Kiosks that Supports eWallet

Some KFC outlets in Klang Valley are introducing self-service kiosks which support eWallet and QR code payments.

This was confirmed by tech website Amanz. On the website it shows the kioks with the logo of Kash, Debit/Credit Card, Maybank QRPay, Alipay, Boost, TnG Wallet and WeChat Pay.

The kiosks allow orders to be made via touchscreen. KFC is a bit behind in this implementation compared to McDonald’s but they’re the first to be able to integrate with multiple payment options.

Cinemas such as TGV and GSC have similar ticket machines which are meant to reduce queues. This is very ideal as some outlets have really long queues such as the one in Cyberjaya.

KFC has also released an app last year that allows you to order online and pickup at the store aside from the conventional online order and delivery service.

Meanwhile, China’s KFC outlets have deployed robots and AIs that can help you with ordering your food. I guess we’ll start to see this in Malaysia within 1-2 years’ time.
