Key Takeaways from My TEDx Innovation Talk at TEDxUCSI 2019

I had the opportunity to speak at TEDx again and this time at TEDxUCSI in Kuala Lumpur.

The theme was Mavericks and Misfits.

Key takeaways from my TEDx talk at TEDxUCSIUniversity last week:

✅ Humanities will see more changes in the next 20 years compared to the last 300 years (Leonhard)

✅ The way we work will need to change

✅ Companies that don’t innovate especially how they work, will become obsolete and left behind

✅ Anything that cannot be digitized or automated will become valuable e.g your creativity and innovation

✅ Innovation doesn’t have to be groundbreaking and futuristic, Airbnb is the easiest example which disrupted a $US500b industry

✅ 5 ways to future-proof yourself: establish personal branding, embrace technology, build personal network, develop emotional intelligence and be resilient

✅ Don’t worry if you feel that you’re different from anyone else, at the end of the day, we need the Mavericks and Misfits to change the world

Great hearing the ideas shared by new fellow TEDx friends Myke Celis and fellow Sabahan Mark Louis Benedict. Special thanks to the TEDxUCSI organizing team JetRou and Karishna Ryan for believing in me and the opportunity to speak.

Can’t wait to see the video!
